On August 17th, 2022 we hosted Janet Wong, poet and author of over 20 books at our Fall Kickoff to Literacy Backyard chat, at the home of Julie Borden. Janet shared her tips and tricks on building fluency with poetry.
She got us up and moving to her Poetry book, Things we Do. Janet brought along her poetry suitcase filled with lots of books and prizes. We also enjoyed a light dinner and shared how we were planning to use her tips and tricks.
Everyone went home with books and some attendees even took home a suitcase to create their own poetry suitcase.
